Our new 'Plant Index' page lists all the plants we expect to have available for the 2012 shipping season.
   On this page we offer some perennial plants that make nice additions to the garden but are usually difficult to find at a mail order nursery. While most of these perennials do not attract butterflies or hummingbirds, they are garden-worthy and definitely on our list of attractive plants.
   When available, we offer these perennials here: Perovskia atriplicifolia (Russian Sage),  Phlomis tuberosa (Jerusalem Sage),  Phlox paniculata 'Norah Leigh' (Garden Phlox),  Phlox paniculata 'David's Lavender',  Phlox paniculata 'Franz Schubert',  Physostegia virginiana (Obedient Plant),  Pardancanda norrisii (Candy Lily),  Oenothera (Evening Primrose),  Polemonium caeruleum 'Brise d' Anjou' (Variegated Jacob's Ladder),   Potentilla napalensis (Potentilla 'Miss Wilmott'),   and Platycodon grandiflorus (Balloon Flower).

We ship perennials from May through October.
   We are able to ship plants from our mail order nursery to the following states within the USA:  Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. State and Federal regulations prohibit us from shipping to other destinations. 
If you do not live in one of the states we are permitted to ship to, please do not place an order. We will not ship your order and will charge you a $3.00 service charge to cancel your order and return your payment.

We ship May thru October.   Most of our perennials are shipped in 3" to  4" pots.
A few may be shipped bare root.   Most should bloom this summer.
Unless otherwise noted, the plants on this page prefer full sun.
We ship orders via USPS Priority Mail.

Russian Sage, Perovskia atriplicifolia Russian Sage     (Perovskia atriplicifolia)

Growing 30"-42" high, Russian Sage produces airy spikes of tiny lavender-blue flowers July thru August. A highly sought perennial, Russian Sage is deer resistant and heat and drought tolerant.

Jerusalem Sage (Phlomis tuberosa) Jerusalem Sage   (Phlomis tuberosa)

Growing 36"-48" high, Jerusalem Sage produces multi-tiered whorles of lilac-pink flowers July thru August. It has fuzzy leaf stems and large green leaves. 
 New for 2007 and sure to be a top seller.

'Blue Paradise' Garden Phlox
(Phlox paniculata 'Blue Paradise')

'Blue Paradise Garden Phlox grows 24"-36" high and blooms July thru August. Its flower heads appear to be blue in the morning but look lavender in late afternoon and evening. Mildew resistant. Deer resistant

Perennial, zones 4-8.       Should be ready for shipping by mid June.  		  

'David' Garden Phlox
(Phlox paniculata 'David')

Large clusters of bright white flowers adorn 'David' Phlox from July thru August. 'David' is mildew resistant, grows 30" - 36" tall, and has a wonderful fragrance. Plant it where you will enjoy the aroma when you walk by. Deer resistant and drought tolerant.

Phlox paniculata 'Peppermint Twist' Phlox 'Peppermint Twist'     (Phlox paniculata 'Peppermint Twist')

Maturing at just 15"-20" high, this Garden Phlox electrifies the flower border with fragrant bi-colored flowers of bright pink and white. Blooming July thru August, 'Nicky' Phlox is mildew resistant. Deer resistant and drought tolerant.

Phlox 'Nicky'     (Phlox paniculata 'Nicky')

Maturing at 30"-36" high, this Garden Phlox electrifies the flower border with fragrant flowers of intense, velvety magenta-purple. Blooming July thru August, 'Nicky' Phlox is mildew resistant. Deer resistant and drought tolerant. 


Perennial, zones 4-8.         Should be ready for shipping by late May.

  

'Norah Leigh'  Phlox   (Phlox paniculata 'Norah Leigh')

Beautiful variegated leaves and high mildew resistance make 'Norah Leigh' one of the best garden Phloxes. It grows 30"-36" high and generally blooms July thru August. An attractive plant even before it blooms, it produces clusters of pink/white flower heads Deer resistant.


Perennial, zones 4-9.       May be available June or July.

(Physostegia virginiana 'Vivid')

Obedient plant grows 24"-30" high and produces lilac-pink flowers August thru September. This plant spreads fast but is easy to divide. Full sun or part shade. Deer resistant.

Variegated Obedient Plant
 (Physostegia virginiana 'Variegata')
The flowers on the Variegated Obedient Plant are a bit smaller than those on the green leaved variety above, but the foliage is beautiful, green and creamy white. And usually a pink tint is added to the leaves just before it begins to bloom in August. Full sun or part shade. Deer resistant.

Perennial, zones 4-9.    May be available June or July. Please check back then.		  

Variegated Jacob's Ladder
(Polemonium caeruleum 'Brise d' Anjou')

Maturing at 18"-24" tall, Variegated Jacob's Ladder produces lavender-blue flowers late May thru June. But with a mound of distinctively decorative variegated foliage, who needs any flowers? Deer resistant.
