   On this page, we offer some nice hummingbird feeders, oriole feeders, and butterfly houses. Near the bottom of the page you will find recipes for making your own hummingbird nectar and oriole nectar. 
   If you are ordering items from this page and intend to order plants too (assuming you live in one of the states we are permitted to ship plants to), please understand that your entire order will be shipped together. We do not generally split orders, sending part of it now and part of it later.

Recipe  for  Homemade  Hummingbird  Nectar

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of white granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool before pouring into clean hummingbird feeders. Nectar can be stored in a refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Hummingbird feeders should be cleaned and refilled with fresh nectar every 3 to 4 days.
Do not add any dye or food coloring to nectar recipe as research shows that these may be harmful to hummingbirds and it is not necessary for attracting them.
Do not use honey instead of sugar. Honey can grow a black fungus which can cause fatal disease in hummingbirds.
